From October 2008 the construction, sale or letting of most non-domestic properties will require the production of an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).
This is an assessment of the energy consumption of a property based on its construction and is influenced by the thermal efficiency of the building envelope, together with the efficiency of the mechanical and electrical services provided within. It is measured against an A to G scale similar to that seen on household electrical goods. The EPC also identifies key improvements that may be made to improve the energy efficiency of the building.
Within our team we have a number of Accredited Energy Assessors who can carry out assessments and provide EPCs.
